History
Fernet arrived in Argentina with Italian immigrants, and the mix with cola took off in Córdoba in the 1980s. The exact origin is poorly documented: one version credits the invention to Oscar "el Negro" Becerra, a drummer and bartender from Cruz del Eje, in the 1970s. In 2020 the Fernandito became the first Argentine drink on the official IBA list.
